INDUSTRIES SYNDICATE’ make DC Electromagnetic Shoe Brakes have been majorly designed confirming to important dimensions of ertswhile USSR – brakes, namely fixing holes and centre heights. The brakes are spring actuated , which can be set at different lengths for obtaining diffrent figure of braking torques. Brakes is released by a DC short – stroke magnet. In the absence of power, brake remains applied- a fail safe feature in the vent of power failure. Braking torque depends upon spring force and remains constant at all speeds of the drum, a linning friction is sensibly constant.
